Since it was established in 1999, the York Area Children’s Museum’s mission has been to provide a safe, imaginative and affordable play opportunity for the youngest residents of our community. Because the museum is operated solely by volunteers, we have been able to keep our admission fee the low price of $1 per person, for the entire time it has been open. Other funding is generated by birthday party rentals, donations, grants and foundation gifts.

Our facility is fully accessible to all visitors of differing abilities! The exterior wheelchair ramps that allow access into the auditorium are located on the Southwest and Northwest sides of the building. Once inside of the building, the inclined platform wheelchair lift will allow access into YACM.

We’d be happy to assist you and have you come visit us at the Children’s Museum! We are located just inside the York City Auditorium in the South hallway. Admission fee is just $1 per person. Cash or check are only accepted. No change is available on site. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Hours: Tuesday 9am-Noon and Saturday 9am-Noon. (Always check calendar) |
